Friends of the W&OD 10K

Today I did a 10k race. After the race, I was at a tent where they were giving out Honest Tea. I chatted with the people for a little while, because I was told the office I work in now used to be where they started the company. They had to relocate because they were doing so well their tea bottles were getting too heavy and the building management thought it wouldn't be safe. My boss told me this. No kidding. Anyways, a couple of girls came behind me, and one of the Honest Tea people asked if she could take a picture of those girls behind me. It made me feel weird. I must have looked horrible. Why didn't they offer to take a picture of me with their tea? I did look bad though. I was holding a bottle of water, a bottle of honest Tea, a bottle of Gatorade, a reusable water bottle, a banana and a coupon magazine from Whole Foods. Oh yeah, my face was swollen from a spider bite. With the heat, it must have been even more swollen. So I left the tent feeling quite defeated, dropping a bottle as I walked to my car, and dropping another as I bent down to pick one up. The run was not my best time, but it was great to get a shout out from Jay the race director at the finish line. How cool that he remembers me.
